It's that time of the year again for college seniors and others who are eligible to gear up to apply to HBS's famous 2+2 program. 2+2 allows admitted students to defer their offer of admission between 2 and 4 years while they go get experience working, essentially hedging any career risk they might take.

There are actually a few other programs like 2+2 geared towards college students and recent graduates. You can check out some of the top ones here: The Best MBA Deferred Admissions Programs (to apply to when still in college)

So feel free to post your profiles, connect, and seek and offer advice. Good luck everyone! The deadline to apply is 10 April 2018.

TIPS FOR HBS 2+2
- Only category where R3 is preferred (after you know your Senior Semester 1 grades and perhaps your post college work plans).
- Be frank in why you might get training at an i-bank or MBB prior to getting experience relevant to your career plans between that and B-School.
- We must assume you have done well academically and have great extracurriculars, so you can distinguish yourself with "real" work experience.
- They are impressed with early sense-of-self and the greater world (but no need to focus on impact).
- Why you need an MBA (and one from HBS) is perhaps more important than for regular candidates - but "enlightenment" here is key.
- And it is still all about whether you have the talents, values, and determination to potentially really make a difference in the [business] world!

The GMAT score range for past 2+2ers is 610 - 780. If my GMAT is in the low 700s, is it still worth a shot? Below the median of 730. I have had international working experience (internship) plus have a non profit, but am from the UK?

Not too PC - but higher scores come from North Asians, Indians, quant folks. If you are not from this demographic - low 700s works well. Your grades, selection of classes, and grade trends are more important (along with internships, extracurriculars and your personal story, of course).

I'm a UK national, have been living in the UK for nearly my entire life but early on I was moving quite a bit and was born in India. Is that going to be against me, ie will they still count me as from an Indian demographic?
