HBS speculation 2.0
Now for a question that is becoming more pertinent by the hour:
In a week, the last 50 - 100 R1 interview invites will be sent out. Anyone got a view on the following:
1 - Adcom Blog says Nov 3rd will see both ding and WL decisions, this conclusively means that HBS will WL folks that have not been interviewed. Correct?
2 - If we were to work with the following numbers: 4000 R1 apps, 800 interview invites. Of the remaining 3,200 how many folks will be invited to join the WL?
3 - It is probably safe to assume that no decisions re R1 WL will be made until they've seen and "started shaping" the R2 class. Do you guys think this means R1 WL'ers will defacto join the R2 pool in competition for interview invites? Or would they just add the R1 WL'ers to the R2 WL'ers in to the R3 pool? In other words, is the WL just the Adcom taking the liberty to defer you into the next round? or is it a special kind of purgatory that only gets looked at at the very end of the process?

that has happened to me - i received an invite last year but not so far this year, despite having a higher gmat and more impressive work and extracurricular.
to the reapplicants who have received invites - has your applicant changed significantly since last year?
