Yesterday appeared in GMAT for the first time, got 720: Q50, V38
Target is IIMA PGPX. My question is how much does GMAT score matter? Should I take one more attempt at GMAT to improve score? Does scoring higher, say 750-760 increase chance of acceptance from 720?
Profile- Engineering from IIT, CGPA: 7.16/10, total work experience eight years- first four years in mining industry and next four years in management consulting. Currently management consultant with Accenture. CTC ~32.
In mining, I was engineer with wide responsibilities- managing maintenance with ~30 departmental employees and ~500 contractual workers and engineers. Can I count that as managerial experience?
Any feedback on what should I do to improve my application?
With a 720 score, you need not try to improve your score again. However, a lot rides on your application and how you portray your accomplishments and roles/responsibilities.

I think we should take initiatives to invite PGPX Alumni’s to share some thoughts about Admission processes and key steps before the submission of Deadline
