Sure thanks. Yes they asked that.

Just for understanding sake, all colleges consider essay, cv first and then invite you for interviews. How does IIM A invite first and then ask for essays.

It is a very detailed application form. You will see it gradually when you reach other sections of the form

Hi all,I just saw that I got an interview invite for the PGPX program. I applied at the last moment and I do not have full clarity on the process. Could anyone help with the following question:
1. Application Weightage: How are application forms, essays, resumes, and interviews weighted in the selection process?
2. Essays: How can I make my essays stand out in the age of AI tools like ChatGPT where everyone will have an awesome essay?
3. Selection Stats: What percentage of candidates are interviewed and then offered admission? Just wanted to understand what the level of competition is after getting the interview call.
4. Group Discussions: Are GDs part of the PGPX interview process?
5. Consultants: Is hiring a consultant advisable, and how can they help?
6. Candidate Profile: What type of story or qualities is PGPX looking for in candidates?
Thanks for any insights!

Hi. I would suggest wrapping up the essays first and then thinking about extempore & interview. Please reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for any support. We have experienced mentors available for immediate guidance on essays and extempore/interviews

Is this the CV format prescribed by IIMA or we can use other CV formats as well?

You need a one pager resume that highlights your entire career. As a pro tip, i would also suggest keeping some space for extracurricular interests. Even if you can squeeze in one sentence that would be fine

My PGPX interview did have a few questions on my extra curricular interests (what are you reading currently, what was your full marathon timing in Mumbai, what was the last trek you did - is the Karakoram range in Kashmir separate from the Himalayan range in Himachal) FYI-I’m from PGPX 2022. Also, about the main body , the CV should clearly show a career progression- even if it’s not linear

you can DM me if you have any questions on the CV or want me to quickly run over your essays before submitting the same
