10 grade -8.6 CGPA
12TH- science stream -79%
Btech (united college, Allahabad) -74%
2016-2018 BYJUS sales manager
2018-2020 - founder at startup (yearly revenue 20Cr) FMCG startup
2020-2024 -Byjus Zonal Head
2024-2026- DGM Sri Chaitanya

I am planning to score give exam by oct first week. Below are my questions
1. How much GMAT score I should target.
2. What profile tweaks I should do.
3. How to make sure that I can pitch transition from edtech to FMCG.

Would be helpful if anyone evaluates .

Is it better to apply to all three IIMs (ABC) in the first round or should I apply only to my first choice initially? If I don’t get selected, I could then apply to the other options in the following round.

Which approach would be better?

Let me simplify this for you.

For most applicants:

• Apply to IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta in Round 1.• Apply to IIM Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode, and others in Round 2.

The reason is simple. If you're admitted, you'll be required to pay a substantial non-refundable acceptance fee:

IIM Bangalore: ₹4 lakh

IIM Ahmedabad: ₹2 lakh

IIM Calcutta: ₹2 lakh

Once the Round 1 results are out, you'll have a much clearer picture of whether it's worth applying to other IIMs in Round 2.

However, there is one exception.

Since IIM Bangalore typically announces its results before IIM Ahmedabad, applicants with a strong chance of converting Ahmedabad may consider applying to IIM Ahmedabad in Round 1 and IIM Bangalore in Round 2. This reduces the risk of paying ₹4 lakh to IIM Bangalore and later forfeiting it if they choose IIM Ahmedabad.

That said, I was surprised to find that many applicants are comfortable taking that risk if it means keeping both options open. 😅

P.S. Last year, several candidates who later joined IIM Ahmedabad reportedly received refunds of the so-called non-refundable fee from IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta. However, this should be treated as an exception rather than something to rely on.

Got selected on-campus for Industry-Defined Final year Capstone Project at Ford plant, sanand.

Member for SAE-VIT(Society of Automotive Engineers)INDIA -South india division, Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA) student chapter for Industrial Designer.

Core committe member for At VIT Vellore, 5th Pillar is a prominent socio-political, anti-corruption non-profit student club, Art and design club, Music club.

Volunteered/participation for many events for Rivera(cultural fest) 15’,16’, Ayuda NGO and Juvenile Care (VIT Chapter), The Hindu Education Plus Club (THEP), The comedy club, English literary Association (ELA), Gujarati Literary Association (GLA), Centre for Social Entrepreneurship Development (CSED), SoS(simle over stress) Club, Culinary Arts Club, Nature Lover’s Club.

Average mock score 655, but targeting 110+ to me’ current score.

Need a detailed profile evaluation. Do i stand a chance or work experience would be on the weaker side. What are the pros and cons in my profile?

Do i need to work more on the score or apply in R1 with current score.

Genuinely this is a strong and differentiated profile.

You won't be competing as another corporate applicant. You're applying as a founder.

Managing a team of 7, and taking it to breakeven is far more valuable than just having a startup on paper.

Academically, your profile is good.

Discontinuing CA isn't a red flag by itself, but if it comes up, be prepared to explain why you chose entrepreneurship instead.

Your GRE 324 is good.

Just be careful about your post-MBA goals. If your long-term goal is to build and scale your venture, that's perfectly fine, but your short-term goal should still be realistic.
