Guys, sorry for the out of context question. But can someone plz suggest between IIM C PGPEX vs IIM K BL which one is better?
IIM K BL is a relatively new program that was started in 2020. SP Jain’s PGPM commenced in 2009. For contrast, EPGP started in 2009 too and PGPX started in 2006. So these programs have a much richer history of alum and the curriculum and teaching style has been continuously modified with the intrinsic knowledge developed by the respective schools over the years.
Not only that, SP Jain has the added advantage of being situated in the financial capital is thus able to attract top quality industry leaders as visiting faculty as well as stellar placements. IIM K’s BL lacks in this department.
As someone else pointed out, IIM K is known for its flagship 2-year course. And even that is at par or at best marginally better than SP Jain’s 2 year course.
I received an early admit for SP Jain’s PGPM. Had I not converted EPGP, and say converted IIM C’s MBAEx, I might have gone for SP Jain. It’s that good. The only programs better than it are those at IIM A, IIM B, and ISB. Some might rate IIM C above it too, and that’s fine. For my personal goals, PGPM > MBAEx.
IIM K’s BL at the moment is nowhere near SP Jain’s PGPM. If you get into PGPM, go for it blindly. Even IIM L’s IPMX and IIM I’s EPGP are better at the moment since they started much earlier. Go for IIM K’s BL if that’s your only option or you really crave the IIM tag.
All the best!
