When colleges make such decisions they are signaling that they are moving towards lesser average workex. If someone thinks nothing changes then pause a minute and look at broader perspective.

Like it or not.
1. IIMC MBAEX is penalizing higher workex (11+) , per their latest weighted scoring mechanism
2. IIMB has always preferred to select less than 9 years workex and rarely folks get in with greater than 9
3. IPMX moving it to 4 is not any different, they are obviously opening the funnel to lower workex.

There could be multiple factors
1. Employability
2. total seats count up
3. Placement outcomes vs fees . ROI narrative
4. Program design and relevance
5. Alternate courses for higher workex

Bottom line is if someone is considering 1 year MBA with 11+ work ex. It's gonna be tough for you and if someone convinces you otherwise. Stay away.

First that's ISB's club. 11+ the game changes. Not at 8+
