Anyone faced issue with interviewer not showing up for the interview? What did you do after that?

So, we’re just taking shots at interviewers now?

You should inform your AO and let them get back.

hello everyone, quick question, What to do if one of the interviewees has an extremely negative reputation ?
Based on the information you’ve gathered about the interviewer, try to gain insights into how the interviewer evaluates responses and assesses candidates, and try to approach the interview questions strategically, anticipate tough questions, stay composed, and focus on clear, structured responses. All the very best aku4312 : )

Hi RJ3001274402, you can notify the admissions team about the situation. They will either arrange a new interview with the same interviewer or assign a different one. Scheduling conflicts can occur sometimes, but the admissions team is generally prompt in addressing and resolving such issues. Good luck !

manu9 - INSEAD officially recommends a 60th percentile on Verbal, and a 66th percentile on Quant and DI components. Ofcourse this isn't a minimum requirement or threshold per se, but a 'recommended' score to stay competitive.

While your Verbal and DI are strong, the Quant score would likely be a concern, given that the program is quant-heavy. A lot would also depend on your overall profile (and how you present it in the essays), but I would suggest improving the score to increase your odds.

Hi all,
I am planning to apply for Round 1 of the Jan 2026 intake and would love a profile review and some advices related to GMAT score.
I am 30yrs old French male, with a B.B.A in hotel and resort management from top school in the field, GPA of 3.51/4.00. I have a strong international background, having studied and worked in few countries in Asia and USA throughout the last 10 years. Leadership experience includes high level position in luxury hotels managing big operational teams (300+ employees).
I am planning to take my GMAT next week but worry about my quant score. I have taken three practice test (result as below). Would a below 80 quant score deny my chance for application? Or would an application with strong essay make up for this.

Mine were quite short. I thought they would go 1-2 hours long (after reading the interview debriefs here) but ended up <1 hour.

Just like any other interview, the INSEAD interviews can go for as long as the interviewer wants. They're volunteers and do this out of their free time as a way to give back to the school.

Most interviews last around 1 hour. The rule of thumb for interviewers is to ask questions for about 35 mins and allow questions from the candidate for about 10-15 mins. And of course, there will be some opening chit-chat for about 5 mins and another 5 mins for some closing sentences.

But this isn't set in stone. Some interviewers, for the sake of time, don't ask many questions. It's not uncommon for some of them to start the interview by saying: "I've read your application in detail and I only have four questions". In these cases, interviews can last 25-30 mins only. There are also cases where the interviewer is in no rush and interviews can last longer than one hour.

In any case, whether short or long, the length of the interview has nothing to do with your odds. For example, a short interview doesn't mean the interviewer didn't like you, and a long interview doesn't mean the interviewer liked you more. So, you can't read much into it. Plus, interviewers send a recommendation to INSEAD, but it's ultimately up to the Admissions Committee to follow their advice or not.

I've seen many candidates worry about this, but it's really nothing to stress over.

Good luck to everyone!
Alex

Hi All,

I am applying for Jan'26 intake. I am really confused with the language requirement for INSEAD.
I have native language as Bengali and English is my medium of instruction for undergrad. Is there a requirement of a certified third language?
Can anyone pour some light here?

Hi SohiniSengupta , please don't worry, the third language is not required while applying.

You can take a look at this for more information: https://images.marketing.insead.edu/Web ... um=organic

It's always a good idea to reach out to the adcom via email for any such queries or the latest updates. They’re always happy to assist!

Good luck!

Hi, yes, there is a requirement for a third language. To be eligible for graduation, students must show at least basic proficiency at the A2 level in a commercially useful language that is an official language of a country, and not their native language or their chosen second language. You’ll have the opportunity to take classes in some popular global languages (e.g., Spanish, French, etc.) on campus and complete an exam to fulfill this requirement. If you wish to select a different language as your third language (e.g., Hindi), you’ll need to confirm with INSEAD the specific proof or validation they require.

Best wishes

Hi MBAGuide, thank you for the insights. What I understood that I need a 3rd language for graduation, but for application I don't need a third language. My concern is - will it be a blocker for selection, that I don't know 3rd language?
Thanks again.

yes you are right. You dont need to show any proof for a third language at the time of application.
