There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
after 720 score does not matter that much , then they look for brand name ( your under grad college ,and company name ) , at end what matters most is diversity , and indian army female candidate will get in even with 650 while IT MALE will get rejected even with 780

Not really sure what reevaluation means but I feel they will take a closer look at goals n try to gauge if ISB is right fit for that along with candidate’s overall employability
that’s just my opinion considering Waitlisters are already scored on application and interview and almost everyone on WL will have more or less similar score
Being an IT guy who has grown up with little and managed so far and at this stage have taken over most of my responsibilities all alone ... Doesn’t that mean a self made guy even in IT if given opportunity will make even bigger with opportunity ISB provides ... I think there are certain traits which neither can be flaunted in writing nor can be evaluated with the existing paramaters

most likely they are just playing it safe , so that they do not have to keep a class of just 690 people like last year .

real problem is that many people would have simiplar thing like urs in their essay so if isb has decided to take just 100 guy from IT and 600 good candidate have applied from that field then 500 good candidate will get rejected no matter how strong the profile is\. This happens only because india has huge population
Agree - diversity is so important in business schools because you will get to learn from each other’s experiences. Even in case study discussions, diversity in workex brings out diversity in thought and allows you to view a problem from multiple perspectives. So if they started admitting so many IT folks, the experience and learning would be diluted.
