Finally, after so many apprehensions about my score reporting mails landing in the spam folder of ISB, I received the profile verification mail after 18 days, today.

I submitted my GMAT online score on 24th October.

Nice. I too have received the interview invite.
Excited to convert this.

I have also received interview invites from 3 other US B-schools. Now really thinking if ISB would be a way to go or not. Lets see what happens.

Hi Anindo, what will you benefit from application submission and verification dates? Is it something which matters for selection?

In quest of trying to find out the basis of them sending out interview invites. Seems there isn't any. It's all random. Hence just wanted to see, if it's still worth waiting, if ppl who had submitted arnd similar dates, are getting the calls now

Okay, I dont think there is any correlation at all. All the applications have definitely been submitted by 20th September - and the calls are coming on random or some batched system which we will definitely not know. Better to sit tight and keep preparing, than to be anxious or make conclusions. All the best

Hey guys, is there any WA group for shortlisted/interviewed candidates? If so, kindly add me!

Has the decisions started started rolling out?

No idea. Guys shortlisted for IIMs' interviews have a WA group and so was curious to know if that's the case here as well...

Just for my curiosity - if you get into IIM and ISB, which one will you choose?

I've got an admit to IIM A PGPX and awaiting ISB PGP result. My work ex is 5.5 years in different areas so its a tricky one for me personally. I am not in a position to choose between the two as of now! :D

Honestly I always thought those groups were really weird. A friend of mine was in one of these IIM groups. All day he would read posts on it from people dissecting the interviews, and predicting each others converts.
Only made him increasingly unsettled and sad over time. He did eventually convert an IIM, but for the folks who couldn't I'm guessing it would be sadder. Only increases the frequency of stress. 😅

Super tricky this one.
If it is ISB Vs IIM PGPX, I personally think ISB would be better, given the far advanced curriculum, better(larger and more diverse) cohort, and relatively wider exit ops.
If it is ISB Vs 2year IIM ABC,I think for me at least it's a more confusing decision. With a little over 2 years of workex, I would prefer a 2 year degree for the internship opportunity, more time for networking and manageable cohort size. But again, hard choice.
Just one man's thoughts. Would love to hear others views as well.

I feel IIM ABC 2 year would be preferable for guys having 0-3 years of work ex. Beyond that the 1 year programmes are better and yes ISB has an edge over the IIMs in the 1 year MBA space.
