Hi guys! I totally get that the anxiety levels are through the roof now. It's been a rough R1 cycle this time. We have 5 more days to go. While it's logical that to assume that a majority of the admits have been rolled out, I think it's fair to remember that you'd only need 1 vacancy for your candidature.

Hope for the best especially if you've been interviewed. If it doesn't happen in R1, there's a potential waitlist into R2. Any thing other than an admit(a rejection in particular) from ISB will be a body blow, no doubt. All one can do in that case is take time to absorb it in, take a well deserved break and get back in the game.

As hard as it may seem, please don't get too emotionally involved with the process. There is always some element of luck involved. Things will work out.

Elpatron, you think there are plenty of admits left or its just a case of a few pending admits? What do you think about the whole admission status?

Hi,
I think the whole thing has not been very transparent from ISB. With regards to the interview invites, I believe the last round was held on the 28th of November. I have only seen 1 person post an interview invite update post that. I'd be surprised if they invite a lot of folks.

With regards to admit decisions, I do feel that a majority of the admits have been rolled out. What remains, though not insignificant (stress on not insignificant) in number, is a minority

PS these are my thoughts alone. This is not the official communication from the program

No.

You can not apply again in R2 this year. Earliest you can apply is next year

Thanks

I have my acceptance deadline on 27th dec. I am sure there were a few people with the same deadline as mine. Not sure about the number though

Not yet. Not sure what's keeping them from sending out letters. Sunday maybe?

Absolutely unprofessional from ISB overall. They have made a mockery of admissions. They should not have changed the final decision date to Dec 20 when it was Nov mid before.

The following seems to be the email sent to waitlisted applicants. Taken from the chatroom.

Quote:
Our Admissions Committee has completed its review of your application and has decided to place you on the waitlist. This decision has been taken post an in-depth review of your individual strengths as identifiable from your application, as well as your overall profile, past academic performance, and the interview. The decision of the Admissions Committee is final and binding.

As a further process, all waitlisted candidates will be re-evaluated and then a final call will be taken on your candidature. We expect to finish this process in a phased manner by April 20, 2021. We request your understanding and patience until then. If you wish to withdraw yourself from the waitlist, please do let us know in writing.

Due to the overwhelming number of applications, we will not be able to provide any individual feedback on your candidature. We thank you again for expressing interest in the Indian School of Business.

Waitlisted. What was the last year waitlist to conversation ratio? And is waitlist profile based or is there some kind of number/rank system?
