It’s a yes , no , or May be which the interviewers mark after the interview !! This was mentioned by the Adcom Richa in many of her live sessions

Anyone else experiencing intense flashbacks to board results? 😂 Didn’t think I’d be living through that again.

I had a very gruelling interview, my panelists didn’t even smile once, and one of them was even shaking his neck in resentment as if he did not want to see me.
And as soon as the interview ended they were back to their normal beings.
ISB interview has been a dreaded one for me.

I wish they had an exam like JEE for admission into ISB. It would eliminate all subjectivity and variation in interview process. Can include questions like decision making, just like XAT does

Its just a tactics of the interviewer. They want to test your calmness under unexpected circumstances. Like in my case one was asking the questions in a very professional manner and the other was nodding his head (in acceptance) for everything i said, good bad or ugly. Over enthusiastic in my answers 😂😂

One can go to IIMs if you want that kind of batch profile

Why would you want a cookie cutter on paper good candidate? We do have standardised GMAT for everyone. Rest is upto their assessment

In that case differentiating between candidates becomes difficult

If two yes are equal then what’s the differentiating factor. And how would it tie in to the final score

On a different context, Kellogg has introduced an "expedited review option" for candidates who wish to receive their results before the final date. But I think their main motive is to see where the students are getting admitted. Presumably, a lot of colleges release results before 14 December. Do you think ISB could do this for R3, in which candidates get only a few days time?

I just wanted to know one thing. The interviewers and admission committee are the same people ? Or are they different altogether ?
As in, will the interviewers be making the final decision of being admitted ?

I remember probably VK Menon mentioning in some video that they have considered some candidates who were rejected by the interviewers. Not sure if that holds true still in his absence. He was a Senior Director of Admissions.

So it’s probably a composite score/analysis instead of just Yes or No by the panelists

Sooo if I understand correctly, there is some sort of metric used to judge candidates of which interviews are just a part ?
I always thought the interviewers were just alumni. I didn't know they were reviewing the whole application too
