Arre, it is a genuine thing. The market is such..based on trust and yet there isn’t much. Hence, a question on how to solve for it. You are future business leaders, give me gyaan rather than worrying about admits that are bot i your hands anymore.

That brings me to the question and a genuine problem I’m grappling with ..how do you think admissions consultants should market themselves so that the quality is shown upfront? Numbers, written testimonials, etc all can be fudged and aren’t trustworthy as a number of you already feel. Hence, video testimonials are way to go. As a candidate, what else can we do to demonstrate quality upfront?

I have been following Dr. Hubert for a while now. He mentions the name of all the candidates who get a shortlist in his post. After taking your client's permission, you can also do the same and tag them as well. That should be the first layer of genuineness according to me.

Apart from the video testimonials, you can also invite a select successful candidates in the webinars that you conduct. They can share their stories which will have a more genuine feel. You can invite different set of candidates in different webinars.

For admits, having the testimonial page redirect to the LinkedIn profile seems trustworthy

In Bangalore, there were 8 panels and each panel took around 6 interviews/day

approximately 50 people/day. Isb’s website lists 18 days for interviews which caps the in person interviews to approx 900

Assuming each city had 8 panels

Seems like a good guesstimation question to be asked in an interview 😛

I’m assuming hyderabad has the highest number of panels. Even taking the high estimate of people/panel, it’s 1800

I remember reading that the application:interview ratio is 8:5 . If we assuming 3000 people applied in R1 last year that still comes to ~2000 interviews which checks out. So we cannot say the number of interviews this year were higher

~2000 interviews -> 400 admits (20%) also checks out with previous years I believe

If the math doesn’t work then I’ll torture the numbers until it does

True. True. You would have to need to use and churn a lot of data in Quantitative Methods and other ops and fin subjects.
