Just finished my interview at Chennai.

2 alums. Probably from 16-17 batch.

Went on for about 25 minutes.

Questions:
1) Tell us about yourself and why do you want to leave your current job?
2) What exactly do you do at your work?
3) What are your short term goals and how does this bridge to your long term goals?
4) If given an opportunity to start your venture right after ISB, how will you proceed?
5) What brought you to the industry that you're in right now?

The conversation was pretty smooth with no conflicts. Last 5 minutes of the interview was about them answering my questions.

Can anyone suggest what to interpret from this?

Also. I was the first candidate of the day that they interviewed.

You can’t interpret anything
ISB interviews are usually smooth sailing because you have alums in the panel
Vs IIMs where profs take stress interviews
Just wait for the results
All the best!

Is there any possibility that the results of R2 could be on a rolling basis? Since many have 3-month notice periods which we need to serve at work, it would be difficult having the results in one go on Feb 15 with classes starting in April. MananS4G ISBAdmissions

Yes, happened to me.. Gap of 9 months from graduation to joining the company

Anything more than 6 months is considered as gap

Finished my interview in Bangalore. Lasted exactly 30 minutes. 3 panelists, alums ranging from 2012-2019

They’d read through my application, didn’t ask for an intro. Dove right into my work ex. Asked a lot of questions on the industry, strategy, metrics, etc. If you know your work (as everyone should!), it won’t be a problem at all.

Couple of standard behavioural questions on handling conflict, managing teams.

Then touched upon some extra curricular I had mentioned in my essays and app, what are my learnings from it etc.

Last 2-3 mins on questions I had for them.

Super friendly and conversational! Was really about testing your depth of knowledge on what’s in the application and whether you have really achieved the things you have mentioned.
