Can someone help me choose a situation for the ’failure’ part of the essay? can a professional situation of not meeting a deadline fit into it?

AG2907

The key to approaching the failure essay is not to force a story into it, but rather to consider what the narrative of failure says about your personal growth. What insights did you gain about yourself when confronted with failure?

In the eyes of the admissions committee, a story of failure or weakness is an important tool for assessing your ability to self-reflect on your actions and character traits. They are interested in the steps you took with determination to address and overcome the identified weakness or failure.

For example, explore why you missed an important deadline (reflect on your behavior), whether you occasionally overlooked important steps, and how these omissions affected those involved and the results. Demonstrate that you are able to reflect on these experiences and correct your course by taking extra precautions to achieve the desired results. A story of personal growth and resilience builds the admissions committee's confidence in your abilities.

RP05 hope you are doing great

Your college marks may appear average at first glance. If you are preparing for the GRE, I would recommend settling for nothing less than 325 (target a 330). Achieving a high score on the Quantitative section would be beneficial.

Considering your overseas education, have you accumulated significant work experience abroad since then? Having such experience could undoubtedly help you stand out. But its relevance isn't immediately clear from your description. The list of clients is impressive. I can tell you that your professional narrative, based on working with these companies, can be a major attraction of your profile if you present your experience strategically.

Your goals are interesting and valid, but you must frame them better, or at least conduct thorough research on how ISB can serve as the bridge between you and the "FMCG" brand marketing roles. I say this because in India, the primary pipeline for top FMCG companies is typically through 2-year PGDM programs. Therefore, you must be strategic in how you articulate your goals.

Feel free to speak should you need solid guidance on your applications or interviews.

Hi
Is there a limit on the number of times you can re-apply?
I read in the FAQ section “Candidates who submitted an application and were not offered admission that year may re-apply one more time”

I am not aware of any such limitation. Where exactly do you see this? I noticed just the following on the faq page:

You can reapply. Please note that you cannot reapply within the same academic year. You have to submit a fresh online application along with the application fee and essays next year.

I had submitted my application early in August and received my completion email in less than 24 hours. It may take a little time as you had submitted the application towards the end.

Bangalore dates?
MananS4G
Here are the details we’ve received as alums to block time. Note: this is not from admissions team yet but should give you an idea. Of course, I won’t opt for taking interviews due to conflict of interest :)
Hyd- 30th September, 1st October, 15th October
NCR- 30th September, 1st October
Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata- 7th-8th Oct
Online- 14th October

I’m sure there would be more slots later since they can’t posssibly wrap-up in 2 weeks.

Your interview would either be in your preferred location that you would’ve selected at the time of application OR online.
