Hi everyone

10th - 71%
12th - 66%
BSc (chemistry) - 6.94 CGPA

Work exP- 5.5 years in IT (designation : senior cloud engineer )
Till now NO experience as manager i can say

No such NGO exposure

Please suggest how i can improve things and target for IIMB or ISB , what GMAT SCORE will be must for me AND How i can improve other aspects.
Hey Shivam,

Don’t be disappointed by what you DON’T have... Focus on what you have... (although one more thing that you don’t have is stellar academic scores but let’s plan to move ahead with what we have)

There are plenty of students getting admits each year with lack of those two things that you mentioned.

You must work on GMAT/GRE and then Application (essays/SOP/LOR)

the Min Target scores for an optimistic chance at respective schools are mentioned below
ISB: 675
IIM A/B: 655
IIM C: 635
IIM L/I/K: 605 (although lesser scores also can do the magic)

P.S. IIM C doesn’t accept GRE so choose the test accordingly

Hi,

I am an Indian male with 3+ years of work experience as of now and am targeting ISB Round 1 for the 2027 intake.

Academic Profile:

10th: 10 CGPA
12th: 84%
B.Tech: UG in Information Technology with CGPA 8.1 from a Tier-2 engineering college
EC: Was part of the college football team as well as a student council rep

Work Experience:
I have worked as a product analyst for 2 years, switched jobs, and have been a Deputy PM at Hindustan Times for more than a year. I started as an APM and was recently promoted to Deputy PM.

What should be my target score for good chances of converting?
PS: My current mock scores are hovering around 625-645 with an equal weightage towards all 3 topics.

Any score in this range (625-645) might hurt your chances

But it’s not relevant what your score should be... what’s relevant is what’s best that you can deliver.

Deliver your best and apply with that score.

625 scorers also convert ISB
but 675+ scorers are always more successful than 625 scorers😄
