Hii all, I would like to have a profile evaluation for ISB PGP

Indian female applicant with 3 years of work ex. BBA from a tier-3 college. Worked ~2 years as a founding member at an AI startup (operations, support, growth, process building, stakeholder management, then worked as Senior Category Manager at Urban Company for 9 months. Now joined another AI startup as EIR.

BBA: IGDTUW, 8.62 CGPA
12th: 88%
10th: 88%

Extracurriculars: Diploma in Kathak, PR head of college Dramatics Society, Club Service Director of a Rotaract Club, Founded college mental health society.

How competitive would my profile realistically be for ISB and other top Indian/global B-schools? Biggest concerns in my profile and what should I strengthen over the next 6?

I am v motivated but I am scared that I don’t have a college brand or any company brand to my name. Another concern is that I have a fairly short stint at UC.

For me, is ISB even worth trying? And If yes, what score should I target?

Hi LucidDirt,

Your profile is actually quite interesting for ISB because it shows strong ownership, startup exposure, leadership, and progression at a relatively early stage. The lack of a big brand college or employer is not a deal breaker for ISB if the quality of work, impact, and storytelling are strong.

Your short stint at UC is not a major issue as long as the move to the new startup shows a logical reason and career progression.

ISB is definitely worth trying for your profile. A GMAT FE score around 675+ would make you competitive, while 695+ would strengthen your chances significantly for ISB and other top schools.

All the Best!

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.

1) Yes, ISB is worth applying
2) Focus just on getting a GMAT score 675+
3) Brands matter but only brand doesn’t matter

All the best!

Experts, what GMAT score is generally considered “safe” for ISB—i.e., a score beyond which higher scores offer little additional advantage?

Hi,
Does anyone have an idea about the weightage assigned to each component of the profile?

Would appreciate any info from a reliable source or ~a reliable source.

Thank you!

Yeah that’s what I’ve been hearing. I just wanted to check my estimates against the consensus.

Hello, Can anybody help me with profile evaluation?

I am a Female Engineer, I work at Salesforce as a Senior Technical Consultant (technical team lead, managing a team of 5). 6 years of work ex. 7 by the time I apply for colleges. I have done BE from tier 3 college.
10th - 8.8 CGPA
12th - 75%
Grad - LNCT, Bhopal - 8.6 CGPA

Work ex is as follows:
Persistent Systems - 2 years
Deloitte USI - 3 years
Salesforce - 1 year

I am currently working on Agentic AI implementation for a global hospitality enterprise. I have worked on some public sector projects for non-profilts. Worked in Client facing roles for a year in Deloitte.

I have received multiple awards and recognitions:
FY26 Top Performer Award -Salesforce Inc - May 2026
ProServe Culture Club Award - Salesforce Inc. - January 2026
Outstanding Performance Award - Deloitte Consulting USI - March 2024
Applause Award - Deloitte Consulting USI - June 2023
Spot Award - Deloitte Consulting USI - August 2022
High Five Team Award - Persistent Systems - December 2021
High Five Individual Award - Persistent Systems - September 2021

I guess this is a pretty basic profile, something every other engineer has. There are no major extra curriculars as such, I have been a part of the culture clubs at work and organized some events with a team. Here are my questions:
How would you review/ rate this?
What should be my target score for ISB?
What can I do to improve my profile?

No, every other engineer doesn't have such consistent results/awards.

12th % is low and you can counter that with good GMAT score. 675+

Also not on this forum but I would like to understand your current CTC, post MBa goals before you even consider joining ISB.
