Planning to attend gmat. Kindly evaluate and let me know my chances with gmat scores that i need to Target.
Decent academics. Interesting mix of work-ex across Accenture and SBI. 6+ years of tenure also works in your favour. If not more extracurriculars, please find any other interesting hobbies, passion projects etc to add to your profile. Also, it would be really crucial for you to clearly lay out your post MBA goals and link it to the diverse experience you have gathered so far. Target 675+ in GMAT to stay competitive. You can always reach out to Preppie (https://www.preppie.in/isb-admission-preparation) for a more detailed conversation with ISB alums. All the best!

@GMATinsight @bb
hi Ananya

We boil down to the point that what is your career goal?

Since you want to get into consulting, CFA won’t hurt you instead it will help you if you turn to consulting into finance domain.

I personally have great regard for CFA L2

Also, any qualification can not hurt your chances ... you just need to have properly woven threads into your application about what you did and why you did that.

if you ask me, I would instead suggest you to apply for MiM at HEC and schools similar to that

you can apply to Imperial and your GMAT will be waived just based on CFA L1...

Profile review:

I have a total of 3.9 years of work ex in a mid tier firm.
With one year experience in US
I am working as a project executive for a $250 million project handling engineering coordinator and construction coordinator. I have worked in process, procurement, construction and planning&costing and scheduling.
I am also working closely(directly under him ) with our group chairman to set up meetings with the US goverment officials like senators, governors, Congressman and i have also met them along with him in person.
I conduct review meetings on the project with the senior management, CEO and CFO on a weekly basis.
I am well recognised in the company but since its an industry i got only one promotion in cadre wise.

How do my profile weigh in admissions
And what should i aim for in gmat i am currently at 600 in gmat focus how much time should i spend studying

As much time as you have at hand and more! As of now, GMAT score is pretty much the only thing that is not coming across as a strength in your profile.

Spend 200 hours and get it up to 665-675 to be competitive

The higher it is the better it would be.
Check the class average and aim around that

ETA for application - Round 2
Hi WA@hoo2799, Being an economics grad and having worked in data engineering and in wealth management, the quality of work experience is really good. Especially when you have been outstanding performer for 3 years.

You have done both consulting certification and software certification. These will add value.

On the slight concern side, the academic scores and extra curricular is not that competitive.

You can target anything above 665 to apply in R2. Add some extra curricular if possible.

Best Wishes.
