Hi,
I am planning to apply to ISB and confused if I should apply in R1 / R2?
12th and 10th: 91.8
Undergrad: 8.5
Engineering female
Work experience: 4 years in a bulge bracket Investment bank
GRE: 323
Decent curriculars in college and volunteering experiences
Should I retake GRE and work on applications side by side? Also, should I apply to IIM A PGPX?
Please let me know. I am really confused
Hi
quidebitis, If you believe you can improve your GRE score by 3-5 points, then go for ISB R2 otherwise, if you believe you have put decent effort in GRE and mock scores are also similar to what you got in actual, then apply in R1. 323 is not bad, many applicants qualify at this score as well.
In our experience, dont work on scores and application in parallel, focus on one thing at a time leads to better result. But this varies from person to person, so take your call based on your strengths and time availability.
You should definitely apply to IIMA. No one knows where the selection will eventually happen. In the worst case you will have a fall back option.
Best Wishes

Hi All! Request for a
profile review10th: 10 CGPA
12th: 87%
UG - 8.75 GPA Tier 2 Engineering
WorkEx - 3+ years in T1 Consulting (MBB) got a couple of awards among a couple of other things
Extra curriculars - leadership in school and club activities in UG and volunteering and successful fund raising for an NGO I work with
1. Would be the bare minimum score I’d need to target to possibly get a call for interview?
2. What score would it take for me to get a scholarship?
Any guidance appreciated.
Cheers!
Hi
jcg1, The work experience is attractive. In MBB with awards will be a good selling point and showcase lots of varied experience and character. Extra Curricular and Academics are decent enough.
You may get shortlist in around 645-655. Sometimes even at slightly lower scores.
There is no particular guideline on what score scholarship will be granted. But if profile is not outstanding/exceptional, then aim much higher to get a scholarship. Something around 715+. This will not guarantee scholarship but may open up possibilities.
Best Wishes.
