Hi Everyone, wanted to get a profile evaluation for ISB Intake '26 R3.

Academics and tests
1. 10th - 94.3%
2. 12th - 92.8% (gold medallist in school)
3. B.E. in Computer Science - 8.43 CGPA
4. GMAT FE - 645(Q82 V83 DI81) ; GRE - 324 (Quant - 170, Verbal - 154)

Work Ex
1. I was at an NASDAQ listed software company for 1.5 years an engineer where I worked with some big international customers.
2. Then I moved into entrepreneurship (which I've always been interested in) via the family business, which is into technology products and services. A new company was founded with a key focus on software related products. I started off as a generalist, working in all areas. For the past 2 years, I've been heading sales, marketing, and ops. My key specialization and expertise here is in B2B government business, something that not a lot of people have in the industry. Some notable achievements -

1. I've led our company's biggest projects and with high customer satisfaction.
2. Built two tech products.
3. Achieved robust vendor relations, increasing business with key OEMs.
4. Brought in many of our marquee customers (PSU and enterprise) in areas like renewable energy, logistics, and new-age companies.
5. Revenue has doubled every year over the past 2 years under my leadership.

Extracurriculars
1. I'm the co-founder of two foundations - one of them is community upliftment focused through which we do events/activities like blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, etc. The other one is cultural and we organize festivals on a large scale.
2. I'm part of a startup community as well where I've contributed a lot in terms of hosting events, etc.

Why MBA?
I've been in this business for a significant part of my career. My learnings have all mostly been within the realms of the business. I've had many ups and downs and I need further structured learning and significant global exposure to scale the business further. I want to do this through the MBS, learning from people with diverse backgrounds. Eventually, I will get back to entrepreneurship.

Why not R2?

I don’t think I’ll be able to submit a good application on time, really busy right now.

Approximately 25%
Please don’t quote random numbers without proper knowledge , overall selection ratio at isb has been around 10-15% and R3 has the least least selection ratio among all rounds, how can that jump to 25%?

Quote:

In general what is the probability of getting selected in R3?
Acceptance rate in R3 is considered to be slightly lower than the rate in R1 and R2
However this assumption can be challenged as well because it also depends on the quality of application received in R3 along with the quality of candidates kept in waiting list.

There have been number of anomalies in selection result that nothing can be predicted too well.

However, prima facie it seems that R1 and R2 provide better chances of selection than R3.

Bottom line is, send application when you think you have the best to offer to them! 🙂
