I have been tracking this for about months now. There are admits from second tier colleges which had rolled out admissions and waitlists in a far more systematic manner than ISB. We need to arrange for financing for multiple schools throughout this process and even lose our deposits to keep a confirmed seat in other colleges
So yes, point taken on how we shouldnāt be too harsh on their admissions process for waitlists specially given covid scenario, however it does make you wonder whether the wait, mental pressure of financing etc, is entirely worth it. It also speaks about how well they are at handling administrative stuff and how students and other folks can potentially face more issues with the depts even after getting admits
A crucial factor that is not taken into account/given less weightage (than other metrics such as median salary, infra, faculty etc) while ranking top colleges is how well they can serve the students or how their satisfaction level has been E2E with the collegeās services. If you are going to charge exorbitant fees, we might as well get catered to in an efficient way
Not sure if everyone will agree and happy to chat separately if it eases your stress and helps you in better decision making, but just my two cents on this. Sending good vibes to everyone on the group, the wait has been long enough already and we really do deserve better
