Two more ladies reporting admits on the BW forum...

Really sounds like Kellogg has made a big push to call deserving qualified women applicants early so far. Seems a majority on the BW board have been women!

I think every top MBA program is fighting to have highly qualified female candidates in their student body. My guess is that they get better financial aid package compared to male admits.

For every single users of this forum who wrote something on that thread "Odds of meeting your spouse at MBA", I think it's a good news, no? :wink:

Maybe that policy doesn't contemplate applicants compulsively checking status every 5 minutes..

I had seen a few female int'l admits on BW over the last few days. Now by Int'l if you only mean Indian males :)...then I am not sure...

Well that's what she says on the BW Forum! :) She'd been waiting for the call cuz they'd requested her transcripts a day or two ago (if I remember correctly) as part of her status update onsite...and well, she didnt receive a phone call or an email and just checked her status and there it was! :) The Admit! :D

Ya certainly...Write a s/w program that hits the server every sec with your credentials and comes back with whatever the server returns..and send u a mail...so that will be like 60 mails every min...;)

keep going...I heard that kellogg sees how many times you check your status and automatically admits the person who checks it the most because it shows how much you really wanna go :)

HaHa Suntaurian, seems you got the point, but on ad-411 site other than some one from Brazil no international has posted.
other than that life is very difficult from +12 hr time zone. you check it late in the night and then you wake up and first thing you do is to check Gmatclub forum and status check plus mail plus ... :lol:

Sorry to hear that Saltdawg. Just remember, Steel got the unknown page last year late in the game, and then got the call, so it may not be the death knell yet.

I think I explained it on chat last night but this is how the online system seems to work. Note this may not be 100% accurate but I know someone who actually asked adcoms about this this fall and they know it hapens. However, remember if you dont read this or BW obsessively you probably wouldnt know what the little technicality is.

Alright so you start with normal status but to change it they have to take you out of the system to update your status to whatever it is. Now they can't email you that your dinged until they have the status changed online. So if you sit there all day and press F5 there is a very good chance you will catch it when your status gets taken down so they can update it.

However, why do people get calls before they see that unknown message? Well think about it, the adcoms know this happens, they know you know it happens. So do they want to cause lots of anxiety to the people who are getting admitted? Nope, so they call them and then will update their status after the call.

Occasionally admits get the status change online, but thats probably because the timing of the people making the calls gets slowed down but whoever is doing the updates does all of them.

If you are an international with a very different timezone there is a high likelihood you will get the status update online since they arent going to want to call you at 2am your time.
