Hi guys

Long time lurker, I received my admit on Dec 13 at 230 pm Chicago time. It was my 25th birthday

Sobered up today to post here. Been preparing for a year now, and after rejects from H and W, it was some nice redemption. Here are my stats:

M/25/Indian/Engineer/770/3.3/3.5 yrs work-ex in oil and gas services (all outside India, 6 countries)

Also, my interviewer told me that majority decisions are released in the last 2 days, which is still to come. So, all the best to everyone waiting here and looking forward to meeting the admits very soon.

This is pretty depressing. I only applied to 4 schools - got dinged by 2 already, hanging in limbo with this one and then a 4th is more of a safety school, although I don't want to presume I will get in there either with the way things are going. Sigh...

Chins up, guys and gals. Maybe we are the smart ones. Why pay $150K for a safety school? We were the smart ones. An MBA shouldn't be an 'at all costs' decision, but a measured, rationale decision on how best to improve your career for the long term.
