Just curious, for people who are getting interviews lately, which round or when did you submit Part 1? I submitted mine in Nov 20ish and got an interview notification in mid-Dec.

Shiet...I haven't heard anything yet. I'm in Chicago. Submitted pretty much at the 11th hour...well more like 10 mins before the deadline for my 2nd part.
Should I be concerned?

I'm in Chicago and haven't heard yet either. When you submitted Part 2 should be irrelevant.

I'm not too concerned yet - there's no possible way they won't have enough local alumni to interview us. If I don't hear in another week or so, I'm going to contact the admissions office.

Driege - have you heard? Still waiting to hear in Chicago.

Still waiting - submitted part 1 on 12/14. Not sure what to think.

Still waiting - submitted part 1 on 12/14. Not sure what to think.

I am still waiting too, but I am seriously concerned. In my country several applicants have already received their interview invites and some alums are already performing the interviews. My understanding is that my application was left behind and an interview waiver will come soon... :(

Hey guys~

Since I am visiting Chicago area for my business trip next month, I am planning to call Kellogg office today and request on-campus interview. I will be available at 2pm, but I heard every day they have info session at 2pm. Does this mean I have less chance to have an interview with Adcom?

I prefer to having an interview with Adcom, not 2nd year student.

Let me know your thoughts.

Well, there's only one adcom in the info session, so you would only have a slightly lesser chance of interviewing with an Adcom. When I called, I could interview as late as 4, so that may be an option for you, also. Personally, if 2pm is the only time I could make it, I don't think making another trip to Chicago would be worth a slightly greater chance of getting an adcom instead of a student.

There's really not much difference between interviewing with adcom or students. The student interviewers go through the same exact interview training that the adcom does, and the interviews are treated the same during the review of your application.

I just checked my status and it said:

"All the required elements of your application are complete.

If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. If your interview has not been conducted, the application will be submitted to the admissions committee upon completion of the interview. The next status check update will be the admission decision (Admit, Waitlist or Deny). When a decision has been rendered, the Office of Admissions will send you an email notifying you to check your status for your decision. Decisions will be released throughout the round, but the majority of decisions will be released during the last several weeks of the round."

My question: since it says that decisions are sent out periodically throughout the round, does that mean that you can receive a decision in early March, or even sooner?

Also, I did not get an email about this update, but was just checking my status. Is that bad that I didn't get an email or am I suffering once again from applicant neurotic disorder?

No email or status update for me, even though I did my interview last Sunday. I'm not worried about it, I know I submitted everything the night prior to the deadline so my guess is they're just wading through a few thousand apps.

I've heard mixed word on rolling admissions--some people say yes, my interviewer seemed to think no.

I have my alumni interview scheduled on a Sunday afternoon in a cafe. What do you think I should be wearing? A suit seems a little overkill in this type of setting...

I would wear a suit unless the interviewer specifically says otherwise. I've worn suits to all three of my interviews, two of which were in Starbucks, and haven't gotten any bad feedback even though my Kellogg interviewer showed up dressed much more casually than the previous two.

I wore a suit for my W (rd1) interview. Everyone else was in shorts and a t-shirt and the cafe I went was super packed as well. I didn't feel weird at all.

I will wear a suit for my K interview next weekend.
