I had my Kellogg interview yesterday. overall it was Ok. I was tensed and stressed because I had just reached my interviewer's office in time. first thing she said was that suit was not necessary (she had mentioned in email )

Why MBA
Why Kellogg
1. consulting focus
2. Student community
Where else I had applied

Asked the why Kellogg question quite a few number of times. I guess fit is big deal. At one time she even commented that she is giving me a hard time because they ask her to ask these questions ..

I actually told all the answers in the first question. She mentioned that I looked that I had prepared for all questions. She asked me about my GMAT and my recommenders and said I should be OK ( i don't know what it means)

At the end she said that she will write a good recommendation for me

Bottom line: I dont think interview will be a reason if I get dinged from Kellogg.

Am one of those who received an interview waiver in round 2
Am seeing a few messages from similar applicants who have now received an interview invite
I havent heard from Kellogg yet and my status check says "we have received part 1 and next update will confirm whether we have all requisite material for part 2"

Wondering if this means the end of the road as it looks like they have pretty much invited all they want to interview by now

Anyone with any info on this?

I'm a round 1 waitlisted applicant. I initially had a waiver too, but got an interview invite two weeks before the deadline. So you still have chances of getting an interview.

Am in the same boat.

I see a few people above having received interview invites after initially being waived. It'll be great if you all can share your stats, including present country of residence. Am from India, and am wondering if Indian applicants have started receiving invites after waivers.

Hi Mandy, I got an interview waiver too. And so did my friend. Most people who applied from India did. My stats are GMAT - 720/6.5 workex in Big4/CA. Share yours.

Most Kellogg interviews are self-initiated. However, there are some off-campus alumni interview requests which can not be arranged by the adcom (remote location / heavy demand). In these cases, applicants are given an interview waiver. After evaluating Part 2, if the Adcom feels the need to evaluate candidate fit (amongst other things) they waive the waiver, and invite the applicant for a phone interview with the Adcom.

I didn't get any curveballs. Go to the clearadmitwiki and check out the questions. I was completely prepared for my interview due to the questions people posted. I think it went well, but it was my first one, so I can always improve!

I always try to throw a curveball interview question in but nothing too shocking...just to see if people can handle themselves. Its actually a question that was asked during multiple job interviews but never have seen in any of the admission interviews.

Just finished my Kellogg interview. The alum was great and really enthusiastic about Kellogg. The interview was fairly similar to what people have been reporting on Clear admit wiki. We did the walk me through your resume and a breif why mba, why kellogg, why now. After that he asked quite a few behavioral questions. We ended with 15+ minutes of me asking him questions. Overall interview was 70 minutes. Great experience.
