Applicant,
I know you can definitely take non-Kellogg courses but I'm actually unsure what you can/cant take for credit and what the process is to take these courses. To be honest, I don't know anyone at Kellogg who's actually done this.

You can petition for credit in other areas and you can audit classes in other areas with permission of professors. I know people who took things like foreign language classes (audit) and then some marketing classes from the marketing school. There are enough great classes to take you probably wont find the need. There are other duel degree options if you are looking for things outside just MBA classes. A lot of my classmates were doing duel degrees with the Kennedy School, in addition to the JD/MBA option.

Do you know how people went about doing the joint degree with an outside institution? The ability to do an area focus is one of the main reasons why I like Chicago over Kellogg.
