Oh, I just whip ma hair back and forth, I whip ma hair back and forth. And as far as profile pics are concerned, you aren't doing too bad yourself, Peaches.

Y'all know, when I was applying to Kellogg, I thought it was a good idea that I might hear earlier than the deadline. Now, I don't think putting myself through through this sort of misery is fun. Cheers for the schools that release on a specific day, at a specific time. (Though Tuck, I wish you wouldn't take until 2/4/11 - a bit short-staffed in Hanover, are we?)

And while I'm on this rant, you know what else is a bad idea? When a school doesn't have a deadline, but has this whole concept of rolling decisions starting from X date. (Yes, I'm looking at you, Columbia.) I could have been done with my app sometime Tuesday morning, but no, there's no deadline, so of course I've been effing around with the damn thing all week.

Okay, outburst over. Gonna go brush my hairpiece now - it's all mussed up.

Kellogg Round 1 Decisions Are Being Released
The Kellogg School has begun releasing decisions (Admit, Waitlist, Deny) for Round 1. Decisions will be released from now until the notification deadline of December 20, 2010. Each applicant will be notified via email from the Kellogg School Office of Admissions when a decision has been rendered. After receiving this email candidates will be able to view their decision on the Check Application Status page located on the full-time program’s homepage.

Because I keep scrolling to the bottom of the page to read the latest post, I always end up seeing the advertisement at the bottom.

Most of the time it is an advertisement for Knewton GMAT prep, but I just got a Kellogg's Fiber Plus advertisement. I wonder if it picked up on the repeated use of the word "Kellogg" and thought we were discussing cereal or if it is suggesting the fiber will settle our stomachs???

Just as an FYI ...
When I interviewed late Nov on-campus, adcom member asked me if I was R1 or R2 applicant (!). And when I told him that I was R1, he said that in that case, they would put my file on some urgent or express (I am able to recollect the exact word) queue for review.

So my guess is that they have reviewed all the files, except for those from folks who are yet to be interviewed, and have a fairly decent idea on whom they want admit. And those calls should not go on beyond Friday 5 PM CST. The trickling that we will see are for those who have had their interview in Dec or something.

Just my 2 cents anyway...

Congrats!!! From what i've read on the previous years' blogs, Beth Flye usually calls those who are getting some kind of scholarship and they would let you know on the phone so maybe there's no scholarship? Not sure if things are different this year.

So, a couple days ago, I received an email from Kellogg inviting me to sign up for coffee chats - which all occur after the decision deadline (ie, next Friday). Did everyone receive this? It would be really cruel to sign up for these only to get dinged...or, I am just overly optimistic. Any thoughts?

That conversation began only because I asked the adcom about the "entire application review process". I don't think they would overlook something as fundamental as the round you are applying to.

I had gotten that same email a while back but for new York, the coffe chats were not for after the deadline. Actually ibthink I signed up for one on Tuesday! It would br cruel tho if a ding came!

You're right - I just checked mine and it came on 11/29 as well. I just looked at the list of coffee chats and NYC is the only one before the decision deadline. I am probably just thinking too much into this....
