It all depends on your goals and risk appetite. If you are flexible in recruiting plan and not top firms or die type of mindset, I think they place in second tier firms

To all the international appliacants, if you have not recieved any scholarship and considering taking out a loan, I would highly advise you to talk with currrent students and understand the job market. I have heard about people with 7,9 even 12 years of expericnce who had to return to their country because they could not land a job. Please excersice caution regarding the AI’s impact on the job market in the next two years , as its effects are already becoming apparent. Its bloodbath in IT and Finance and god knows what happents in next two years. I would highly reccomend going to schools which have offered you scholarships.

While I agree to some extent with this message, this also serves to fear monger people into believing into hypothetical scenarios. A lot of it depends on you as an individual as well and what you bring to the table. And yes 7, 9, 12 YOE matters. AI has a long way to go. Don’t see it as something that is replacing your jobs. See it as something that compliments your job. Like a co-pilot.

MBA is what you make of it. Not every student gets scholarship (especially in McDonough because their yearly endowment is low compared to other B-Schools). If only students who got scholarships went for an MBA, you would have no student body. While its true that the market is bad, it is very likely that in 2026, we see an upward curve. Be flexible to more roles, have a back up plan, network, give your best and you will be fine.

^ Easier said than done. With $200k loans pending over international students head who enter without a scholarship at a T25 like GT , even a distinct possibility of not having good career prospects post MBA, it’s just not worth it in this economy.

Don’t expect everything to be given to you on a platter once you arrive in the US. You have to hustle. Especially when you decide to get an MBA in a foreign country. If you don’t want to do that, that’s your decision. No one is forcing you. To each his own.

My interview took around 30-35 minutes including my questions; it was pretty relaxed more as a conversation.
I was interviewed by the admissions team and the questions were pretty standard:
- Walk me through your Resume
- Why MBA, Why now and Why Georgetown
- Short term and long term career goals
- Plan B if the first career choice does not work
- Recent challenging situation and how did you handle it
- What will be the decision making factors for selecting the school, if you are admitted to multiple MBA programs

There are also interview debriefs on clearadmit and you can have a look there too.
