Yes, they did. Just checked my inbox from last year. Defferal to R2 (not technically a ding, but they went out at the same time) came at exactly 7:01.

I doubt today was the ding day. We need to watch out for the ding day and hopefully survive that.

Does the admissions office close for Christmas? Do we risk having this roll over into January before we hear more?

I can't decide what would be worse... getting a ding the day before Christmas, or having to wait until January.

Fingers crossed.

I'm an international applicant from Western Europe. From looking at this thread, no invites have gone out so far. Really hope to hear *something* soon. An interview invite would be a good early Christmas gift!

For MIT - it was randomly generated. For Wharton - I chose my own.
