In all seriousness though, from what I can tell MIT invites a smaller # of students to interview, so I would assume that their methodology for selecting those to interview would be more stringent than other schools.
Thats probably true. My friend at Sloan told me they also take a majority of those they interview. Again, this could be speculation, but that was her opinion.
I am praying for a call from CBS. If that happens, I will be withdrawing my Sloan application so that will leave one more extra spot

That is true, actually. According to this interview by Rod Garcia (
), MIT interviews only 18% of their applicants, and they HAVE to be selective at this stage because only the adcom interviews (~10 people), unlike other schools that use alumni and students. And apparently, in one of the chats last year, one adcom official said they accept 50-70% of those interviewed. Definitely a "majority".....just have to cross your fingers that your interview score is in the top 50%
