My husband was accepted to MIT last night and we're both THRILLED! Are any of you bringing spouses? I would love to connect with people who are in the same boat as me.

CONGRATS to everyone! If you were accepted, AMAZING. If ding'd, still way ahead of the rest of the world by being interviewed. If wait listed...I do NOT envy you! lol GOOD LUCK!

Similar question has been asked before but does anyone know how and when does MIT disclose merit-based scholarship information? From last years' threads I am guessing applicants are notified by email a few days after the acceptance letter. Any ideas?

To all the successful candidates ....... YAY !!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS .......:) I think that a lot of fellow GC members got the admit, right?

For all my friends who got the dreaded "Ding"

Please do not loooose heart ..... I am sure there is a better school out there waiting for u which is a better "fit" for you .... Which truly believes in ur vision & is sure that it can help u reach there. You must work on the schools that are still open & also think of giving another shot at ur dream school next year. Most of the schools, especially one like MIT, really value a student who shows the resolve to improve his/her candidature & apply the next year again!

Also, please do remember that at the end of the day, MBA is just a tool to make us reach our desired goal ..... So lets not give it more than it deserves! Eventually, if one has the passion and the desire to fulfill what one has started out to do, I am sure that MBA or No MBA, he/she can conquer that milestone. So just keep on doing ur bit.

I am sure that most of us R2 applicants will also find ourselves in the same shoes as you very soon ...... We need to keep on striving .... Thats the only thing that is in our hands ....

Best of luck with ur remaining schools that u all are looking fwd to ! :)

i got a welcome call half an hour after the admit from 3 current students.

tgtivy, happy to help with R2 apps, just PM me. but, i feel many of my experiences are unique to info in my app and thus may not work well if adapted to your circumstances - but still happy to provide them and you can interpret as need be.

salgig - thanks for creating the facebook group. and nice to see you're a fellow cornellian. what are the results of the other schools you applied to?

i'm going to ask the scholarship question in the google groups.

From what I have heard ..... it should be out sometime either in 'end Feb' or 'beginning March'!
