Waitlisted. How disappointing...
Congratulations to all admitted students !

At this stage, I'm unsure about what I should do, as I need to reserve my seat at other programs and have to pay deposits.
Additionally, I guess the WL is basically equivalent to rejection, as I won't have enough time to process my Visa application.

Is there any international students around, who got off the WL in previous years? Any insight would be welcome.

Thanks a lot.

On the FAQ, they mention 100-200 WL candidates.
Odds are reasonable for those who can wait (if you assume 75% yield, 100 seats are avail for WL candidates, not bad).

However, for int'l students, I don't see how this can work, as getting a Visa takes up to 3 months.

Edit: the actual number is closer to 20-30 students, so my back of the envelope estimate above is way off

Opportunity, I am choosing between Yale and MIT.

Not a big fan of wharton, but as an engineer, my heart belongs to MIT! I just can't help it...
