Although they give waiver but I heard that they very rarely select the candidate without GMAT/EA/GRE. It is done to increase the number of applications only. I would suggest to appear for exam if you are really serious about MITSF.

MIT is waiving off test for SFMBA. One of my friend got confirmation test waiver. MIT is one reputed school and consistent in its behavior. If it says it will waive test then it wont differenciate between people who submitted test or who didn't submitted test. SFMBA is very competitive program and your profile not only fits it but you have awesome profile.

Hi All,
Is it advisable to still submit at least an EA score despite the waiver? I know the answer would be profile dependent, so here's a bit more about me:
VP-level in biotech industry
with doctorate degree and 17 yrs work experience. Undergrad GPA 3.69, grad GPA 3.92. Took GRE for grad school 20 years ago (!), quantitative was 97th percentile, analytical 98th. Lastly, I am an African-American woman... so from an underrepresented group.
I ask because I've been traveling quite a bit for work (and personal) and so it's been challenging to carve out time to prep. Thank you for any insights you can share!

I spoke to adcom and a few alums again. Becoming clear - adcom said 'everything you furnish including your Edx/Coursera/Micromasters/etc., or your active scores, or even your expired scores, certifications, etc.' everything is weighed in for your evaluation'. - and they ended there. Alums chuckled saying 'yes it may be a waiver as part of their admissions policy/guideline but that's it'.
So the logical conclusion is - not having a score would certainly not put down your profile if you have other stronger components, but having a score will also work in your favor. So I get the drift and I would hit the books
