First year Sloan student mentioned that interview invite would release together, mostly on 24 or 25 Feb. So, I do not need to go frantic over invitation and should take some time off until then.

I am not sure if I can really take a break but I am trying. haha

I guess you have to request the adcom to still consider it for Round 2.

You can send them an email.

They would most probably consider you for Round 2.

Extended MBA Round 2 deadline

In light of recent mass layoffs around the globe, Sloan is offering an extended MBA Round 2 deadline* for those of you with an unexpected change of employment status.

Extended MBA Round 2 applicants will need to complete a full application by Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 3 p.m. EST. No application components are being waived as part of this extension.

*Please note that this extension is only applicable to those who may have been impacted by recent layoffs. Applicants will be prompted to describe how they have been impacted by the layoffs in the application. If you are not eligible to apply for the Extended Round 2 deadline, you can always apply for our Round 3 deadline on April 11, 2023.

I don’t have stats for traditional R3 acceptance but Sloan has added a new round for applicants affected by layoffs. Keeping this in mind, the traditional R3 stats would not necessarily apply this year.

Also, R3 is super competitive mostly because most of the seats are already taken. Based on my research, if you have a super unique and URM profile, then you can take a shot in R3. For others, international and overrepresented groups, it is better to wait for another 4 months and apply in R1, to maximize their chances.
