For all of those waiting, I totally know how much it sucks. To provide more transparency, here's some information that will hopefully help:

The bad news:
All March interview slots have been taken.

The good news:
There's a ton of interview slots in April

What it means for R2 applicants?
I've called Stern and they said that since they do rolling admissions, getting interviewed in April after the R2 decision date doesn't mean getting pushed to R3 (she said there is no concept of "rounds" for Stern). For those who have not heard back before 4/1, you will either get a waitlist or ding. Waitlisted candidates will have a chance to get invited to an interview, but this doesn't mean you are in R3. Again, she said there's no concept of rounds for admitting people. They just admit on a rolling basis all the way till before class starts.

Danerd, thanks for the update. Seeing as how I have not gotten an interview invite, I don't know how the scheduling process works, but it sounds kind of like HBS. Can you see the actual number of interview slots and dates left? Thanks for any more info!

On-campus interview slots (not including off-site)
March: 0 days, 0 slots
April: 11 days, 30-40 time slots (I didn't count, too many)

I believe 1 time slot consists multiple interview slots. After I took my time slot, it was still available for another candidate to grab.

Also called Stern and they said they will open up the student lunch and class visit slots for April next week.

Good luck and stay optimistic! :boxer2

Danerd, thanks a lot! 30-40 at minimum, not counting duplicates. That's not terrible. I'll stay optimistic.

So I was R2 n interviewed on feb 23. However no sign of life yet and its been 2 wks 2 days. Should I consider it as -ve?

Anyone interviewed then or before n still no response?

Wonder if the adcom ppl ever browse these forums and chuckle at our posts ...

I'm about to hit the two week post interview mark...been wondering the same thing! I know they say three weeks, but I was hoping it would be quicker.

i was worried too and did not hear back until 22 days later; however, got a 40K scholarship, so they may be evaluating scholarships a little longer

i know the wait sucks but do not assume the worst, i was in the same position

I LOVE that idea...thanks for putting that positive thought into my head :)
Here's hoping!

I think you'll hear tomorrow afternoon. Most responses in late Dec through Jan were on Wednesday. Email at 5pm but website can be checked as early as 4:30pm.

I think this could be true only for interview results. Since last week, interview invites were sent on Friday.

well today is the R3 deadline so depending on how many qualified candidates they can identify quickly, that might affect R2 decisions.

Talking about records, this may make you feel better (or perhaps worse).

R1 applicant
Submitted: 11/15
Interview Invite: 02/09
Interviewed: 02/16

As of today: NO UPDATE OR CHANGE IN STATUS ... 27 days and counting!

Nope but personally I think I must be on some sort of an internal waitlist NOW and just waiting to get pushed onto the "official" waitlist!

i would email them, i waited 22 days and emailed them about it, just say something polite or if you are friends with any current students ask them to inquire about it, you should not be waiting that long when they say 21 days at the max

I did email them last week and even tried calling my interviewer who emailed me back saying that it is a busy time for them and that I should expect to hear back soon! I asked if I could follow up if I don't hear anything by next week and he said that I could but that he may not have any additional information for me at that time!

me neither .... other than sorry to have broken your record ... and maybe I am being considered for BIGGER $$! :)

The only thing I can think of is that I applied to the dual degree MS/MBA so maybe they are waiting to hear back from the MS program ... although I thought the two admit decisions are supposed to be independent!

They are supposed to be independent. Especially considering you could have applied to the MBA program and not even told them that you were later going to apply to the MS program. I was considering this but decided I only wanted to attend school for two years. Kudos for doing what I meant to do and never did! Good luck - hope you hear back soon.

umm .. I thot dual degree applicants have to submit Essay 4 about why they want to apply for the dual degree! didn't know that you could apply to the two independently without telling the other ...

Anyway, from what I gathered from my visit during the interview, the dual degree options aren't hugely popular at Stern ... probably because most ppl don't want to attend school for more than two years ... even though the third year is part time.

So you may have been better off not going for it. As I understand you can always take additional courses outside Stern if you wanted to complement your studies.
