umm .. I thot dual degree applicants have to submit Essay 4 about why they want to apply for the dual degree! didn't know that you could apply to the two independently without telling the other ...

Did anyone get asked to interview for the summer start program? is program supposed to be good? is it mainly for international kids? the description of it was not very good.

Did anyone get asked to interview for the summer start program? is program supposed to be good? is it mainly for international kids? the description of it was not very good.

Summer start is a way for you to reduce the number of classes you need to take during fall. It's good if you want to have more focus on your job search, and also if you want to bond with some classmates early on. It's bad because you will waste what may be your last free summer until retirement, have to move to NY early & pay $$$ rent (if you're not already from there), or lose the potential income from employment should you decide to pass on the free summer thing.

I just got invited to interviewed for the summer start program as well. I'm guessing it's a chance to have a couple quant crash courses before the fall semester begins. I'm in marketing so can probably use the head start. I wonder how many they invite to interview for it and how many are accepted from that list.

Not accepted. Just an invitation to interview for it. I have the option to not be considered for the summer start, but i dont think that would be a wise decision considering they selected to interview for it.

Just got in! Pretty great timing after getting dinged from Booth today.

Interviewed: 3/7
Admit: 3/16, 5:15 pm EST email like everyone else.

TBH I thought NYU was my worst interview. Just goes to show the whole process IS hollistic. Congrats to fellow admits and GL to everyone else still waiting to hear.

It takes about a week to get the snail mail correspondence. I got mine 6 days after the acceptance and I'm in DC. It was sent via UPS.
