I have an interview scheduled for the Summer Start day, this Thursday (3/24). Does anybody have any advice for this day? Frankly, I don't care if this program is designed for those needing "special assistance." As long as I get in, I will be a Stern student. Also, does anybody know what the admittance rate is? I have heard and read that there will be roughly 60 potential students attending this day, and out of the 60, roughly 45-50 get in. Does anybody know anything substantive? I would appreciate it.

my army friend did it, he is graduating this year, and said summer start was awesome, he really felt like he got to get an opportunity to become a leader on campus by getting to know people early knock out some academics, and make some connections in the city etc.

i do not think anyone has any negative views towards summer start as long as your transition plan supports it

So the whole day of interviews on the 24th is for the Summer Start program? I was invited to interview for summer start but there wasnt an interview slot open until April. In one of the podcasts the student mentioned that there were 65 in her summer start class.

The impression I got was that the entire day on the 24th is devoted to Summer Start potential starts. I really don't know what to make of the interview for Summer Start in April that you were asked to do. Perhaps you were just late to confirming that you would do the summer start interview and corresponding day? I signed up more or less a few hours after I got the invitation, and they said it was "first-come first-serve" with regards to the interview. I hope this helps, but I could be wrong.

R2 applicant here, just heard back last week.

Applied: 1/13
Interview invite: 3/16

The only interview time slots are in the last week or two of April.

Question - does anyone have a rough idea on what % of people interviewed generally get accepted? Thanks and good luck to all!

Congrats!!

A large percentage of interviewed applicants at NYU Stern is admitted (NYU sends out less interview invites than other schools). Someone in this thread made the calculation (p. 21) and came up with approx. 60 % of post-interview admits.

Good luck!

I'll stop holding my breath for a stern invite then...sounds like at this point there really is no hope

It was 40K and just said Alumni Scholarship - i think they get named later on in the process.

That plus GI Bill and veteran benefits will help me out a lot but I am still waiting on a few other schools this week before I finalize my plans
