Well, I got waitlisted, and instead of the personal boost in pride to see if I actually get in or not, I immediately declined because I knew I was going to Kellogg. Strange how sometimes admissions works like that, you get into a higher ranking school but get rejected from a lower ranking one.

there is no rhyme or reason to this process sometimes

I'm sorry if this was posted somewhere else in this thread, but can anyone who has already interviewed give a heads up on what is asked? I have searched around and found varying questions, but I thought some people who have actually gone through the interview process might be able to help me out. Thanks!

- go over your resume
- why NYU
- what activities, clubs will you join
- tell a time when you handled a conflict
- summer internship plans? and companies in mind
- what if you cant achieve your short term goals any backup plans.
- questions to her..

these are questions I remember.. I interviewed offcampus about 10 days ago.

Round 2 applicant here. I hadn't heard a peep from admissions until an hour ago - waitlisted without interview. Good luck everyone.

Its about fit for them as much as it is for you. They know what they want when they form the classes.

After being waitlisted without an interview last year for six months, I am now waitlisted without an interview again. I guess I know where I stand in their eyes.

Do they go through their waitlist w/ interview before looking at the waitlist w/o?

Hi everyone, just got WL'ted.. Was really looking forward to NYU because of my strong interest in Finance.
My situation is very strange. I applied R1 back in Nov and got my interview invitation on Feb 14 - Extremely late. I interviewed on March 7th and got WL today.
Now, I am evaluating how I can improve my application, even considering retaking the GMAT!!

Hell froze over. Pigs are flying. Locusts must be next.

I just received an interview invite.

Let me rephrase. I had nearly given up hope, but for the first time in a week I did one of those random status checks. I didn't receive an email yet. But I was greeted with an interview invitation. There were a good number of other slots still open throughout April (don't have an exact count).

I applied 1/15.

Good luck everyone still waiting. I would say I will spend the next week preparing, but honestly I've already been reading so much about the school that I feel like I already go there. Very excited for the chance to prove my passion for the school in person.
