Anyone who has already completed the Kroll background check? I want to find out how long does it take to complete the entire process. I am looking forward to deposit the enrollment fee early next week and begin the background check process.

I submitted Kroll on Wednesday Mar 16 and was finished by Friday Mar 25 (according to the Kroll person I spoke with). I think mine took longer than usual because they contacted me for more information on Monday Mar 21 and I was out of town w/o access to that information until Friday.

Is anyone else choosing between Stern and Yale SOM? I'm interested in non-profit management and know how strong Yale's program is, but I think there are probably a lot of advantages to being in New York and in close proximity to a number of non-profits and foundations. It sounds like Stern's social enterprise program is strong - but I don't get a sense that its a huge part of the culture. Thoughts?

First time poster....

I am also still waiting for news from the addcom... I applied on 1/15 and just heard from them on 3/7 as they could not see my 3 essay video on youtube... after that, it has been really quiet...

Does any body know if they are still sending interview invites??? ... another question, does anybody know if on 4/1 the people that did not had an interview invite could still get accepted???, I mean, I just want to know if the ones that did not get an invite will only will receive a wl/ding????

If we don't get an invite then it is a ding or WL.

Both programs are good. I mean it is BUSINESS school. Most people are going there to do something to make more money. Depends on what YOU want.The Stern Consulting Corp and the Social Innovation Concentration should give you meaningful education and experience. I don't think they'd create a social innovation concentration unless it had enough demand from students. I think easy access to all the connections in NY will help you even if it isn't a part of the culture.

My passion lies in education reform so I hope to defintiely leverage the NY location to learn as much as possible. And I will prob take the 5 classes they allow us to take outside of Stern at Steinhardt.

Admit weekends are sell weekends. But you also get to meet your future classmates and current students in your field of interest. I def associate marketing with NYC more than I do Durham. I guess its depends on what type of marketing you are interested in. CPG, Luxury, etc...
