Calling All NYU Stern Fall 2011 Applicants

The WL definitely sucks (I'm on Yale's so I can relate) but there is hope. From last year's R1 roll call:

The best story, though, was PRtoMBA. Check out his post history here. In short, he was WL'd at Wharton then dinged, then WL'd at CBS and Stern. Then on July 26th he got an acceptance from Stern. He called CBS to ask for a decision in light of his Stern acceptance, and CBS accepted him the next day.

Rare occurances, to be sure, but you just never know.

Got a status update email from Stern.

Seems like a lot of people got waitlisted today. Does Stern waitlist a lot of applicants?

I have the same question. Does it have anything to do with the huge Wharton waitlist?

anybody else interviewing on 31 JAN, I have to wait since I live in the middle of nowhere GA damn i miss the NE.

let the countdown begin, I also find about MIT that weekend so who might not be the best planning on my part but owell

Last year on gmatclub 52 RD1 applicants and 11 W/Ls

This year on gmatclub 51 RD1 applicants and 6 W/Ls so far. Hard to draw any conclusions....

not familiar with Wharton's W/L...do they W/L a lot usually or just a lot this year?

No idea how many were accepted after waitlisting...

Looks like two got off the waitlist in Round 1...not great odds but certainly not any worse than the overall 13% acceptance rate.

So I am assuming that no one from INDIA has received any response from NYU yet. No Waitlists. No Acceptances and No Dings.

Is there any one who wants to prove my assumption wrong??

Hi guys,

Would anyone here be knowledgeable about the reapplication policies for Stern? I have browsed the school's web site, hunting for any pieces of information for reapplying students, and remarkably, found none!

I'd like to know if they require an additional recommender from a reapplying candidate, as many other schools do.
