I was dinged at NYU yesterday... while I'm not happy about it, if it was going to happen I'm glad they told me sooner than say August?

I applied R2, interviewed on 3/16, got w/l'd on 4/11 and accepted 5/12.
While on the WL I sent a couple of emails to express my interest, sent an additional statement on why I want to attend Stern, and arranged for an additional recommendation (related to one of my extracurricular activities). I also kept in touch with current students.
My profile: International student, GMAT 720, undergrad & gard studies in banking and finance in home country, GPA 3.9. 5 years WE in risk management.

Hey guys, finally decided to post after reading the forum for a couple weeks.

I just got waitlisted again (5/17) after being interviewed last month (4/29) - had been on waitlist since R1.

What do you think my chances are at this stage? I hate this limbo feeling, especially since I thought I had nailed my interview. I have an offer from another school but NYU is definitely my first choice, still worth pursuing?

I've contacted a couple current students I met on campus, and have sent in an additional essay and updated resume to the adcom - trying to sort another recommendation now.

I'm an international student, 25y/o, 740 GMAT, 3.2 GPA undergrad BE/BCom, and 3 yr WE in engineering consulting

Yes I did. I applied in R1 and was waitlisted early February. Got an interview invitation out of the blue near the start of April and had my interview on the 29th. Thought it went really well but here I am...back on the waitlist..... :?

Sorry to hear you're still stuck waiting.

Did they mention anything about amount of spots left or general idea at your interview (or since then)? I haven't gotten an interview invite, so I'm way further back than you are.

So you sent an additional essay and updated resume, after you were placed back on the waitlist? ...and now you're sending in an additional recommendation.

I think that definitely shows you're serious about NYU.
