Does anyone know the % of people who interview who are admitted? Judging by the data on this site, I haven't seen anyone who was denied after interview-- But that can't be right, can it? Business Week usually breaks down that information, but that stat was missing on the breakdown for Stern. Just curious. Also, do they give you their scholarship offer when/if you are accepted or do you have to wait?

Can only speak for myself obviously, but I got my offer via email about a week after the interview and the scholarship in the letter that was sent out the same day as the email and arrived a few days later.

Correct me if I am wrong but the Bed Wetting Thread shows 11 admits and 14 denys w/interview on the cover page? That is 11/25 = 44% interview conversion rate?

I used the data on Business Week to figure this out a week ago, by my calculation Stern admits about 64% of interview candidates

From Business Week: 22% of applicants are interviewed and 14% of applicants are accepted, with 100% of accepted applicants being accepted. Given this 14/22 = 64% conversion rate, so pretty good odds for anyone who is invited to interview

I do think with the amount of work you put into your application (especilly the video) you deserve at least a few words of feedback from the person who decided "no" after reading your app. so if there is a polite way to contact them and ask, i would give that a shot.

thanks for watching my video and thanks for the kind words. I actually tried calling them to see if they would let me talk to someone, but they wouldn't. also tried emailing and they gave me your run of the mill response..."a lot of strong applicants blah blah."

i wish i could get some closure on this hahaha...it seriously kills me to know i invested a hundred hours into that video just to get rejected.

i appreciate the love from the forum though! im not one to die easy so ill be back with another video.

This may be a silly question but how do you login to check your application status. I have no idea what my password is; I think a previous email mentioned something about receiving a password in the mail but I never did. Maybe it just takes time. Any clarification would be great.

After the first "confirmation" email (received just after submitting) you should have received another email titled "NYU Stern MBA Admissions" that includes a link and password for the application status website. Hope that helps.

Just got a ding from R1. I'm at a loss as to what I could do to improve for the following year. just to share, here is what i submitted for my essay three that i thought would help me stand out from the pile of applicants.

Hi guys,

Amongst the people who have been admitted, I was wondering how long it takes between interviewing and receving your decision? A quick analysis of the last few 'admit' posts pegs this number at about 9 days, as per my calculations. Is this consistent with fact?

I ask because I have been freaking out ever since I interviewed on campus a couple of days ago, Stern being my top choice. Also, what is the mode of communication? Do you receive a call/status change email/email saying you're admitted/WL/denied?

Thanks a ton. Appreciate any help calming my nerves.
