Its a mess altogether.
They don't even have clear answer for straight questions.

Complete and utter mess of a review process specially for us international student

Someone from Vanderbilt told me the main reason for low acceptance in international students esp from India is over representation from the IT engineering sector. The adcom can’t find a direct link between doing engineering and then MBA. And the responses they get in essays or interviews are confused.
