KingKREEP, how are students doing finding jobs this year? I think I saw a stat on BW that only 71% of Michigan grads found work after 3 months while Duke was at 70%. But, I could swear the career services rep at Duke told us it was 97% last weekend.
Anecdotally, I've heard from different friends that they knew of people from Michigan who couldn't find jobs. The sell at Duke was that their alumni were super active in making sure their firms hired fellow Fuquans. I'm sure it's true at Ross, but I don't recall the same energy when discussing it.
Ignoring my love for the UofM, I think the schools are incredibly similar. All things being equal, I'd choose Ross for the action-based experience. But, let's be honest... finding work after graduation is key.
This is exactly what I am hearing.....industry is finding it tough (no recruitment almost) and consulting is hence v v competitive as everyone now wants to become a consultant. But this is the same across all top 10 US B Schools. Hopefully when we graduate (providing we get admission), the job market will get better.
Can KingKreep or any Ross-ers illuminate us with updated career stats from this year (internships/full-time by industry)?
