Received my background check info from Ross yesterday. Apparently they are not using Kroll, they are using some company called HireRight. I already submitted to the check and paid the $55 fee. It said results will be back in 3-5 business days.
Did anyone else get that email?
I did too, but my headache has been whether to submit it now or wait to do so later. In my case, I am thinking that will be a giveaway to my current employer that I will be leaving very soon when I have not made my intentions known yet. Do you think HireRight will let them know I am leaving for b-school? Apparently, I want to get this background thing done as early as possible, but I am a little confused and any insights will be appreciated.
I know that HireRight gives you the option of them either contacting or not contacting your current/previous employer. They say that if you request that your current employer not be contacted, then they may require you to provide other means of verification such as W2, 1099 tax forms, etc. Also the process will take longer if you request them not to contact your employer.
