Hi,

I had my interview today and thought to share the debrief with this group.

The interview lasted for 40 minutes and below were the questions asked (not in the same order):

1) Walk me through your resume
2) What does a typical work day look like for me? Who are my stakeholders?
3) Why diversity is so important in schools and companies? How have I ensured to promote diversity in my projects?
4) Biggest professional achievement and the impact?
5) Time when I was frustrated and how I handled it?
6) Biggest professional failure? What did I learn from it?
7)Why MBA?
8)Why Rotman?
9) Short term and long term goals?
10) Any other school that I am applying to?
11) Learning that was life changing for you?
12) Any other questions

Thanks to everyone on this group.

Hey, thanks for the interview debrief. Did you apply in the Early round or Round 1?

Hi everyone,

My interview was earlier this week, and it lasted about 40 minutes (including time for my questions). I can't recall exact wording of questions but these were some of the ones I remember (not in the same order):

1) Walk me through your resume
2) What does a typical work day look like for me? Who are my stakeholders?
3) How will the Rotman MBA help you in achieving your career goals?
4) Short and long term post MBA goals?
5) What other schools did you apply to?
6) What 3 questions would you ask the Dean of Rotman if you met her for a coffee chat?
7) What would you want to accomplish within 1 week, 1 month, and 1 year at Rotman?
8) Time I had leadership experience?
9) A failure? what did I learn?
10) A time you set a goal and achieved it
11) Time when I was frustrated and how I handled it?
12) Any other questions

Considering today is 15th, when the results were officially meant to be announced, any idea about when Rotman will give some update to those of us who haven’t heard anything yet and put us out of our misery?

anirbaan,

I don't think they are going to put us out of the misery that easily :tongue_opt3 .

They will first try to find people with unique backgrounds or experiences, and once they are done with it, they will probably start reviewing LORs and transcripts of OR applicants.

Other colleges at least provide an update about the status of the application. I don't have any such hopes from Rotman.

Yeah, even I am not hopeful but I thought they said that they will give EA results by 15th October so I thought at least today we will get an update

My checklist items for Rotman still show unreviewed. This is special  They have to give an update today though since it’s decision date for early applicants. It has to be a reject or a waitlist. But waitlist is a joke so :0p
