After the stress of possibly not having one of the recommendations in for a few more days, it all thankfully worked out before the deadline. Thanks for all the advice. Much appreciated. Good luck to all.

Does Stanford typically have a range of dates within which interview invites are issued or is it a rolling process throughout the entire period?

Also, is the final decision date followed to the letter or does anyone know of dings/admits having been issued a bit earlier?

I, too, submitted my app on Tuesday! Feels good, though now I am so nervous!

Among my friends at the GSB, I know someone who was invited to interview 4 days after the deadline and one who was invited to interview just days before the decision date. So, it sounds like interviews are rolling and quite spaced out.

Good luck, everyone!

Also just submitted. A few minutes over, actually, due to a computer reboot. I really hope they let it through. Think they will?

You should be fine. Is there any reason to think otherwise? Have you heard any stories about similar instances?

My former manager told me that he'll submit his recommendation today. Will this impact my application which was submitted on time?

I don't know. Stanford is my dream school and a long shot by any standard. I would hate to think I totally crippled myself by inadvertently submitting in R3.

That said, I saw on the Wharton admissions blog two people in similarish situations: one who had submitted one minute late, and one who had submitted an hour and forty minutes late. The former was told not to e-mail admissions for such a paltry lateness; the latter was told that "the admissions committee doesn't switch off the servers at 5pm sharp, but an hour and forty minutes is pretty late." I also read somewhere on these boards - Duke, maybe? - that the cut-off is sometimes as late as midnight on the day of the deadline, though they would never advertise it as such (and who wants to risk it?).

So logically I'm probably okay? But this process goes beyond logic and I am quietly freaking the frack out. If anyone has insight or information, it would be much appreciated.

Aenigma, have you tried contacting adcmon by telephone? I wouldn't worry too much about it.
