I went through last year's thread. It looks like Stanford trickled out invitations until Monday, November 16th. That whole week they sent out the bulk of their invitations, it seems. The following week, nothing (thanksgiving), and the beginning of the next week (first week of dec) it seems like there was a smaller burst.

This year may not look like last year, but if it did, that would put the flood gates opening on November 15th up until November 19th.

I'm really only posting this so that people don't stress over things too much... maybe there will be an invite or two starting next week (that's when this board got actual posts about invitations being received although only a couple of those), but no worrying until November 20th, please!

I completely agree to Jeanette. I am a reapplicant. Received an interview invite last year on 19th November. A large number of invites were sent in that week 14-19th November. Also, last year the invites started on 1st October. Don't think they have started as yet this time around.

I know people who got their interview scheduled a week before the decision and got through. So as Jeanette rightly said, I wouldn't bother myself till atleast 20-25th November.

All the Very Best!

Do you think the smaller applicant pool this year might accelerate the process?

Quote:
With the round one admissions deadline today (Oct. 6), Bolton is expecting the competition to lighten this year. When all is said and done, he believes applications to the best business schools could fall by as much as 10%—not that it will have much impact on Stanford due to its tough admission standards. For the Class of 2012, applications fell by 4% to 7,204, still significantly higher than the 4,868 Stanford received for the Class of 2008.

Not really, no. It's only a 10% reduction he's expecting. They still have thousands to get through, and the same number of seats and invitations to issue, and there's no real need to hurry it up. Maybe I'll be wrong, but I'd be surprised if we get a full blast of invitations before mid-November. Who knows though. It's the blind leading the blind here.

Is anyone else having trouble logging onto the Stanford applyyourself website? I can't seem to get further than the log-in screen.
It's 3:00 p.m. 10/28 in Palo Alto
Could an updated status be on the way?
Fingers crossed....

could be an applyyourself issue...if you logged onto another school's app on applyyourself it doesn't let you log in unless you clear cookies or something sometimes...happened to me at one point
