I disagree.
A promotion, especially a prominent one at a solid company, looks very good.
I'd recommend calling them, seeing what they say, and then probably describing it in a follow up email.

Internationals have typically received earlier invites since their interview scheduling can be more complicated.
Like many have said on this forum, if you don't have an interview invite by the week after Thanksgiving, then it is definitely time to worry

TOEFL: 111
Stanford "strongly suggests" that you complete your interview within 2 weeks of receiving the invitation. If there are circumstances preventing you to do that you can ask Stanford for an extension; my feeling is that if you have a good reason, you'll get an extension.
