Hello,

I am applying to the Stanford MBA / Harvard Kennedy School MPP dual degree program. What is the most effective way to answer essay B? The Stanford website indicates to address interest in the Stanford GSB MBA / Stanford MPP program in this essay, but I'm not sure whether it would be appropriate to bring up HKS. Should I address the Harvard MPP application in the additional information section?

Also, I'm having trouble finding on the GSB or HKS websites information on what the structure of the dual degree would be (other than 3 semesters at each school). Please let me know if you have any thoughts on these questions.

Thanks so much!

Hey Guys, I have a quick question.

So it appears that Kellog decisions started to come out today via phone call. I was wondering if Stanford does phone calls to and if so, will they call on the 15th. The only reason I ask is because their website says admissions decisions will not be released through person or phone... But last year was phone call...rigth?

Any insight will help.

Yes, last year they made calls. The calls started the day before the decision date, I believe. When they say decisions will not be released over the phone, it just means they won't tell you if you call them.

From anecdotal evidence, there will probably be between 1-5 more phone interviews over the course of the next week, so it's pretty much game over at this point. And yes, barring a change, Derrick calls everyone personally in a phone marathon over the course of 15+ hours the day before decisions.

Had my interview today. It was fantastic, very conversational and positive. The alum had a lot of insightful information to share about the school and has me really looking forward to d-day next week. Good luck everyone and hold out hope. I just got my invite last week!

No invite again :)

Looks like my 30 months of WE is still on the low side (was a mere 18 months last year).

Will probably take next year off as I work on my latest startup (just raised $100K seed) and then re-apply (3rd and final time) for Fall 2013!

Best of luck everyone!!!

I think this estimation of how many invites is left is completely silly. This speculation of 20-30 spots left is laughably precise for something no one has any idea about. I would advise avoiding these posts. I took 2 weeks off from reading them and felt noticeably less stressed out. Just a thought.
I second Emarc's motion. For the record, I'm also against trend-spotting from statistically insignificant samples (such as the 10 people on this board who've received interviews).

But ignoring the severity of the situation is basically ignoring reality. 8-)
(I almost used "to ignore" in the first half and "ignoring" in the second half of the phrase, which would have violated the principle of parallelism; thanks GMAT!)

:!: :!: :!: FELLOW REAPPLICANTS: Have ANY of you gotten invites?!

Hi all,

A quick question re: updating contact details.

As I've recently moved to the US, I now have new phone contact details but I can't seem to find the best place to update this information. My email address is still the same and they successfully contact me on that address to set up my interview. Just wishful thinking that they'll need my mobile phone number ;)

Also wanted to avoid just randomly firing off an email to AdCom just in case it was obviously posted on their website and they decide ding me for being a moron :P

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: LOL scrap that question... I got antsy and just called up the AdCom. A lovely lady helped me change it. FYI for those that care ;)

I am in a similar situation. I sent the adcom an e-mail to notify them and they replied saying theyv updated my profile. For the lack of better knowledge, I think contacting adcom is the way to go.

I would not keep any hopes for an invite at this point of time. It might happen for 1 or 2 ... (as it does most years).. but that is it...

I am also an R1 applicant from Bangalore...Reliance finalist ...got interviewed last year.. but didn't hear anything this time around (inspite of having a much stronger profile this time) and I have decided to concentrate on R2 applications starting this weekend.

It's really tough.. but guess it's wise to move on at this stage. staying hopeful will only affect your R2 apps..

Cheers,
